Video Grabber plugin allows you to grab and download video from third party site to your site.

How to install​

1) Download the plugin zip file (filename is like: AVS - Video Grabbers Module 2.x (for v8).zip) from your PC.

2) Unzip the zip file to your PC, then upload folder and Installation.txt file are extracted.

3) Explore upload folder and select all folders, and paste them into your existing server root directory (Overwrite them if needed).

tip

The ways of installing plugins into your website is the same as other plugins. Just download each plugin zip file, unzip them and copy folders and files in root(mostly upload) folder to your server directly. Overwrite files if needed.
Once you install plugins(just copy!!!), Reload your website to have an effect.

How to use the plugin​

Note

Note that these operations can be handled with site administrator privilege.
First, visit siteadmin page of your website(for example: http://www.yourdomain.com/your-subdirectory/siteadmin), and login as a siteadmin.

1) Click on Videos / Add Videos menu on the left sidebar, then you can find Grab Video sub menu if you successfully uploaded Video Grabber plugin.

2) Copy the video link that you obtained from third party site, and paste it into Video URL textbox in this page. You can reference the valid websites on this page.

3) Click on Next button.

4) In the next page, Fill in information such as Username, Title, Description, Category, Tags, Type of the video which will be grabbed. In addition, check Cut Intro and type seconds to be cut.

5) Click on Grab Video button, then it will download the video from the third party site url you provided, and upload into your server and convert the videos, once done it will appear on Videos page.
