Backend - Category Management
This guide will show you how to manage video and photo categories.
Note that these operations can be handled with site administrator privilege.
First, visit siteadmin page of your website, and login as a siteadmin.
How to manage video category
In order to open Video Categories page, click on Categories / Video Categories menu on left sidebar.
Option 1. Add a Category
1) In the Video Categories page, fill in a new category information such as Name, Slug(Optional) and choose a Thumbnail image file.
2) Click on Add Category button, then a new video category will be created.
The name of video category must be unique. If you enter the name which is already registered, the creation of a new category would be failed.
Option 2. Edit a Category
1) Click on Edit button of a video category to be edited, then Edit Category modal is displayed. Here, you can edit the Name and Slug if you want.
2) Check Update Counter on Edit Category modal to update video count of the selected category.
3) You can also change thumbnail by clicking Thumbnail button, or even delete this category.
Click on thumbnail of a category, then video list page of the selected video category is displayed. You can edit such videos in this page.
How to manage photo category
In order to open Album Categories page, click on Categories / Album Categories menu on left sidebar. The ways of adding / editing a photo category is the same as the video category management.
Option 1. Add a Category
1) In the Album Categories page, fill in a new category information such as Name, Slug(Optional) and choose a Thumbnail image file.
2) Click on Add Category button, then a new photo category will be created.
Option 2. Edit a Category
1) Click on Edit button of a photo category to be edited, then Edit Category modal is displayed. Here, you can edit the Name and Slug if you want.
2) Check Update Counter on Edit Category modal to update album count of the selected category.
3) You can also change thumbnail by clicking Thumbnail button, or even delete this category.
